I write this post about VR porn quality while nursing a sore neck that is the result of watching way too much VR porn in an effort to get caught up with all the videos that I am covering in my VR Porn Reviews July 2016 post. I have been wanting to address a variety of issues regarding VR porn quality for awhile and dealing with a bothersome neck has finally motivated me enough to vent my frustrations here.
First off let me say that I do acknowledge the fact that we are still in the early stages of VR and one must exercise patience during the development process. And I also acknowledge that improvements are indeed taking place within the VR porn industry. My issue is that the improvements are not happening fast enough and we now seem to be in a leveling-off period for many of the VR porn sites. So what gives? A bit of complacency perhaps?
The long-standing mantra we have heard repeated by many of the studios references how all of them are in it together to make VR porn a success. Really? Does anyone still honestly believe that VR and/or VR porn might not make it? It should be obvious to everyone by now that the industry is here to stay and has nowhere to go but up. And that is likely a big part of the problem. The threat of not surviving is no longer there for the major players.
I do get it though. I understand the allure of just keeping things status quo once the money is pouring in and profits are being realized. Especially after taking a risk and investing in something new that was far from a sure thing at the time of conception. Pat yourself on the back and enjoy the spoils of your labor for awhile. At least until someone comes along and offers a product that blows yours out of the water.
Oh how I wish we could have 1 site that just started killing it in both VR and porn quality. How great it would be to give everyone else the proper motivation to step their game up to the next level. Perhaps only then would the current cooperative nature of the industry end and the real competition and improvements begin. Because as we all know, competition breeds excellence and innovation.
But until then I am stuck reviewing VR porn that is lacking for quality in one way or another. And the most frustrating part is that the quality issues are not consistent. I could understand if everyone was dealing with the same problems, but that is not the case. For some it is the scale, for others it is colors, clarity or camera positioning. This makes it painfully clear to me that all of the issues are indeed solvable since each element has been mastered by at least 1 site.
I hate to single anyone out here, but I am looking at you VirtualRealPorn. I reference a line directly from your site when I recognize that you are the very first VR Porn website in the world and have been working for my fantasies since 2013. That is great and I applaud you for that, but it also makes me wonder why your VR porn quality is not head and shoulders above all the others. It is going on 3 years now for you and there are sites less than a year old that have surpassed your quality of VR.
It really is unfair to single out VirtualRealPorn since all the sites have issues. I actually have them as my top rated site and enjoy their product very much. I just wish someone would put all the pieces together and provide a level of quality that the other VR porn sites could aim for. Venting complete, neck feels much better now.
