BurningAngel VR was launched in January of 2017 and can be best described as an alternative VR porn site that features punk, tattooed, hardcore action. The BurningAngel brand was founded in 2002 by porn star Joanna Angel, who is also a writer and director of adult films. BurningAngel VR has a content production relationship with HoloGirlsVR and several videos can be found on both sites.
I viewed the videos from BurningAngel VR on my Samsung S6 phone with a Gear VR headset and the Samsung VR app. Like most VR porn sites, the videos on BurningAngel VR are rated as 60fps and feature binaural sound with a wider than normal 220º FOV. The scores shown below are based on a comparison with videos from other VR porn sites.
1. Quality of VR (3.5 stars) – The has been very little POV action in the BurningAngel VR videos that are not part of the old HoloGirlsVR library. The colors and clarity are decent, but I will need much more POV content to properly judge the camera positioning and scale.
2. Quality of Porn (4.0 stars) – The models on BurningAngel VR are not your typical porn stars, but they do an excellent job of vocalizing and staying engaged with the camera. The actresses are mostly young, attractive and eager to please. The alternative style porn that BurningAngel VR produces might not appeal to the majority of viewers, but I have no doubt that they are good at what they do. Their set designs tend to be a bit simple as do the storylines.
3. Quantity of VR Porn (0.5 stars) – Currently BurningAngel VR has 20 titles available and was releasing 1 new scene per week from January to March 2017. There have been no new releases since and no clear indication of what the future holds.
4. Variety of VR Porn (3.0 stars) – BurningAngel VR has a good mix of scenes considering their limited number of videos. I expect they will score much higher here once their library of VR porn starts to expand to include more POV scenes and models from different ethnic backgrounds.
5. Website, Service, Extras (3.5 stars) – The BurningAngel VR website design is well organized with search/filter options and individual model pages, but there are currently very few description tags. The download speeds are fast thanks to the small file sizes. Membership pricing is $24.95 per month with credit card payments processed through CCBill.
