The AVN Adult Entertainment Expo 2017 was held in Las Vegas this week and there was a wide variety of sex tech on display. Several of the leading VR porn sites were in attendance along with a few new players in the segment. A large portion of the show floor featured live streaming cam girls from some of the top interactive sex chat sites, including one with a live VR stream. Many of the most popular adult toy companies were also there to show off their latest interactive devices.
Naughty America, HoloGirlsVR, Reality Lovers, VR Bangers and newcomer VRHush all had VR headsets available at their displays offering visitors a chance to experience VR porn. VR Bangers did something a bit out of the ordinary by exhibiting their very unique camera rig that has all of it’s components mounted within a rubber doll head. HoloGirlsVR, who shared their space with recently announced working partner BurningAngelVR, took home AVN awards for Best Virtual Reality Innovation/Site and Best Virtual Reality Sex Scene.
There were a couple of booths at the expo that featured animated VR porn. SinVR had an impressive demo that allowed visitors to use handheld controllers to interact with various virtual models in a dungeon like setting. While SSI Japan, ImagineVR and VRJCC combined to showcase their Let’s Play With Nanai game. The animated Nanai character is programmed to move in sync with a mobile phone mounted on a sex doll that is specifically designed for use with VR porn.
Cam sites Cam4, CamSoda, Chaturbate and Flirt4Free all had models streaming live from the AVN show floor. Cam4VR was giving away free VR cardboard headsets and entertaining the crowd with video samples of their VR camgirls. CamSoda attracted lots of interest with their 3D hologram projectors and also had a 360º VR cam streaming live video.
Popular toy maker Kiiroo was part of a large display that also included their partner Fleshlight. They were proudly showing off their newest teledildonic device branded Launch, a fully automated male masturbator that connects Fleshlight toys to the interactive world. Launch users will have access to various interactive content on FeelMe.com, a new marketplace which is set to open in the very near future.
Just like XBIZ 2017, the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo 2017 was heavily influenced by VR and other sex tech. There were still some big studios at the show who have yet to get into the VR segment and it will be interesting to see if that is still the case by the time next year’s AVN Expo rolls around.
